Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

Submission Preparation Checklist

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • This submission meets the requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  • This submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  • All references have been checked for accuracy and completeness.
  • All tables and figures have been numbered and labeled.
  • Permission has been obtained to publish all photos, datasets and other material provided with this submission.

Privacy Statement

EVOXIA, committed to academic ethics and the protection of its users' personal data, establishes this Privacy Policy, in accordance with the General Data Protection Law (Law No. 13,709/2018 – LGPD), the Brazilian Internet Civil Framework (Law No. 12,965/2014), and, when applicable, the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR – General Data Protection Regulation).

1.1. The personal data collected on this website (name, e-mail, institutional affiliation, address, and other data eventually provided) will be used exclusively for purposes related to the journal’s editorial activities, including:
• Management of submissions and peer review;

1.2. Under no circumstances will the data be sold or transferred to third parties unrelated to the editorial activity.

2. Legal Basis for Processing

2.1. The processing of personal data is legally based on:
• Consent of the data subject (Art. 7, I, LGPD);
• Compliance with a legal or regulatory obligation (Art. 7, II, LGPD), when required by indexing and scientific preservation agencies;
• Execution of public policies to promote research;
• The journal’s legitimate interest in the regular exercise of its academic activities (Art. 7, IX, LGPD).

3. Storage and Protection

3.1. Personal data will be stored in a secure environment, with technical and administrative measures in place to protect against unauthorized access, destruction, loss, alteration, or any form of improper or unlawful processing.

3.2. Access to personal information is restricted to the journal’s editorial and technical team, according to each member’s role and responsibilities.

4. Rights of the Data Subject

Under the LGPD and the GDPR, the user may, at any time, request:
• Confirmation of the existence of data processing;
• Access, correction, updating, or anonymization of personal information;
• Portability of data to another controller, when applicable;
• Deletion of unnecessary data or data processed in violation of the law;
• Revocation of previously granted consent.

5. Cookies and Statistics

This website may use cookies and traffic analysis tools solely for the purpose of improving the user experience and producing access statistics, without collecting sensitive information.

6. Data Sharing
